Our Mission
To reclaim our youth by cultivating a nurturing and
supportive environment. Renewing the connection between students and alumni,
supporting student development, enhancing their academic preparation, and
providing positive role models as examples of the result of an education at
Harlan High School. Maintaining a mutual relationship that influences the
student body, faculty, staff of Harlan High School, and the community.
Our Vision
The John Marshall Harlan High School
Alumni Association, NFP, is dedicated and committed to instilling school
spirit by recognizing the accomplishments and achievements of the Harlan alumni;
encouraging students to strive for excellence to secure Harlan's future
place in the history of the community and city; and supporting student
academic, athletic, and social programs.
Mentoring Program
Alumni are needed for mentoring as follows:

Provide opportunities for exposure to various work environments
·
Act as a resource for students who may be interested in your specific employment
area
·
Serve as a guest speaker for career exploration in services with students
·
Provide opportunities for job training and internships
·
Being a resource for just "talking and relating" to a student or students

Membership
We need your support. If you appreciate the work that we provide, then
please become a member today. Your contributions' are needed for our
programs to continue to go forward. Membership cost is just $25.00 per
year, January thru December per calendar year. Simply click onto our membership application
form below, print the form, fill it in, attach your check or money order and return it back to

Our database is 2,300; initially we had 203. Our goal for 2007 and
beyond is to
increase our membership by 25% in each year. We encourage all alumni to become members and
to take an active part in restoring our legacy. We can do this through
increasing our membership.

We are now designated as 501C3, which is a non-profit status. There are many
ways in which you, as alumni, can help us in our efforts to assist Harlan
students through your financial gifts via 501C3. Your donations are tax
deductible to fullest extent of allowable by law.
Please consider a donation at any time or renew your
membership each year to help us with our programs at Harlan. If you would

Many things have changed, and Harlan has increasing needs, which also affect
the students, i.e., materials, equipment, and services. Your donations make a
